Do You Speak the Language?

This is a little early in the week but I will be vacationing and I am leaving the country, bound for a foreign land and if I go missing I want you all to know where to start the search.  I found my passport but I’m not going to have time to go to the bank so I hope the local merchants are fair with the exchange rate between my dollars and whatever their money is called so I can bring you all souvenirs.  After an interminable flight I will be landing in a faraway land called Minnesota.  I have been brushing up on my Nordic languages so I can converse with the natives and have even tried to learn a little about the history of this country.  So, I watched Fargo again.
Apparently, many eons ago the natives left Scandinavia in search of a warmer clime so they sailed to New York.  They didn’t stay there because, well, it was New York, so they started to walk toward Texas in search of the sun.  Now this was a long time ago when man was about one webbed foot from being a frog so this was a hearty breed but they liked to drink and this was an era before Homo erectus was allowed to be left-handed so they all drank with their right hands.  According to legend, this caused them to lean to the right every time they drank so while they headed southwest to Texas, they ended up going northeast and wound up in the land they named Minnesota, which in their language loosely translated to “We stopped when we ran out of booze.”
Some other things I learned while researching this country include the fact that the mosquito is their official bird, Paul Bunyan was their first Governor and they actually have a law that says “Public drunkenness is NOT a crime.”
I’ve also tried to check the weather so I can pack properly and I’ve learned it can be either 94˚ or 5˚ so I’m at a loss as to what to take.  It’s rare when you travel to a country that can experience all four seasons in a single day.  Bermuda shorts and a down parka is not my best look.  I’m told there are a lot of lakes in this land so I assume the natives swim but the only pictures I can find show people dressed as grizzly bears cutting holes in ice with a chain saw.  Then they slide an outhouse over the hole, climb inside with a 6-pack and call it fishing.
If any of you have visited this Minnesota, any tourist attractions not to be missed would be welcome.   I know they have this really big mall and I’m looking forward to seeing the World’s Largest Ball of Twine and the Spam Museum.
